I had the privilege of working with The National Association of Sports Medicine, alongside fellow designer Isabelle Gulick. NASM came to us to update their homepage, about page, and product pages to better fit with their updated brand guidelines and conform with their new CMS platform.

The initial request was to make pages less cluttered and more engaging, utilizing video content and cohesive storytelling to more smoothly convert potential customers. The larger challenge was to create product page templates that balanced the marketing needs for each individual product while still conforming to a data structure that could be applied to all products of the same type. In the end, we created four product page templates that allowed NASM the freedom to give special attention to their most important products while making it easy to upload and maintain a library of over 100 courses, certifications, and bundles.

The about page presented a unique opportunity because NASM specifically requested a high level of motion and interaction. My first iteration pushed those boundaries further than I had gone in the past.

However, contract constraints required a version that would be accomplishable with fewer development hours. After a few iterations that explored varying levels of development effort, we came to a happy balance of developer feasibility and highly engaging UI.
